Red flags
- The site name is slightly misspelled.
- The file type doesn't match the platform, like an .exe for an Android app.
- A countdown or pop-up pushes you to hurry.
- The page asks you to turn off your antivirus.
What to do instead
- Go back to the creator's official page and use the link there.
- When in doubt, don't download it.
